From Moors to Coastlines and a plethora of hedgerows
Exmoor, Dartmoor, Sedgemoor, Witheridge Moor (Culm Grassland), the Exe, Otter and Axe estuaries; the North and South Devon Coasts are within easy reach thanks to our central location and good road links. A dense network of minor roads take you into the green heart of the county where you can escape traffic, and slow down perhaps to investigate the unique and ecologically rich Devon hedgerows.

The neighbouring town of Tiverton
Tiverton is approximately 3 miles to the west of Roliphants farm, a busy mid Devon market town situated north of Exeter on the A396. Standing on two rivers, the Lowman and the Exe, Tiverton once used this as a source of power for its woollen industry. Much of Tiverton now centres on the Heathcoat lace factory, which has been in operation since 1816. Tiverton is now one of the cleanest and best built towns in the west. The PARISH CHURCH of St. Peter, which dates back to 1073 is purported to be one of the largest and most handsome parish churches in the county.
Other Places of Interest
A local area of interest is The Grand Western Canal which extends northwards from Tiverton to Taunton, the Grand Western Canal Country Park runs between Tiverton and Holcombe Rogus.

For something a little different there is the Amazing Maze at Bickleigh Mill which is certainly a fun day out particulary if you have a young family to amuse.

Other places of interest perhaps saved for a dull or rainy day include the Tiverton Museum, Tiverton Castle and nearby Bickleigh Castle to the south and Knightshays court to the north which run by the National Trust. All are open daily during the summer months.
